What is composting?
Composting is a natural form of recycling that is constantly ongoing in nature.
Composting is the conversion of organic material (decay) into a soil-like material called compost. Insects, earth worms and micro-organisms (bacteria) interact under aerobic conditions and water content not higher than 55% in the conversion of organic material into compost. Composting is a natural form of recycling that is constantly ongoing in nature.
All organic materials will eventually be composted. The degradation rate depends on the following factors:
1. Carbon / nitrogen balance (C / N) in the organic material
2. Exposed surface (fraction)
3. Amount of available oxygen in the material
4. Water content
5. Temperature achieved in the compost
6. Ambient temperature
With the Ag-Bag composting system you obtain – Total control, no smell and no leakage.
carbon / nitrogen balance 20-40
fraction 5-10 cm
orbital 8-12 weeks
cure 4-6 weeks
